SZUQ Series Autotransformer Soft Starter

The SZUQ series autotransformer step-down soft-start units differ from starting methods such as water resistance, reactors and solid-state soft-starters, which merely limit current amplitude and consume power. During the starting process, the autotransformer acts as an energy transfer medium; apart from losses due to its own electromagnetic conversion and transmission efficiency, it is capable of delivering the vast majority of the energy supplied from the power source to the motor. Consequently, whilst the motor achieves the same starting torque, the electrical energy output from the power source is lower than that required by other soft-start methods.
